It has been a week since I officially launched The JC Buck Gallery and the ICE Collection at Coda Studio, how the world has changed since then.
Last Tuesday we questioned whether to proceed with our opening party based on early news reports of the coronavirus. Not knowing the full extent of the story yet, we felt at the time it was ok to move forward.
Last Wednesday was a beautiful, sunny and warm day here in Denver, and we packed the Coda Studio’s showroom with all our friends, clients and families. We were on a high, we were absolutely thrilled by the reception of the ICE Collection and Coda Studio’s new Denver showroom. It was a fun celebration of an exciting new beginning for both the folks at Coda Studio and myself.
Fast forward to today and I feel completely deflated, scared and filled with anxiety... and I know very well I am not alone with these feelings. I am heartbroken for all of us in these difficult times. However, I believe the silver lining is we will reevaluate how we have been living and more than ever zero in on what’s truly important.
In following the CDC and local guidelines, as of this past Monday, I have cancelled all future travel plans, photo shoots, meetings and social engagements. I am also in self-quarantine due to mild symptoms of a sore throat and light cough I’ve been experiencing since late last week. This truly will take all of us to the follow our medical professionals' guidance to get through this virus with minimal pain, suffering and the loss of life. Please take their recommendations seriously.
For the foreseeable future I will be working from my home. I will be working on two very exciting collections which I plan to be releasing in the coming days, HORIZON and ICONIC:
HORIZON is simply about finding peace and calm, in our modern lives, via the most powerful apparent line on earth and ICONIC celebrates many of our Nation’s greatest iconic landmarks.

I would like to close by echoing what has been said many times already, we are ALL in this together and together we will help one another through this unchartered territory.
